Dear sister in Islam

Assalaam O Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah

Marriage is a holy and significant bondage in Islam. It unites families and provides physical and spiritual contentment and satisfaction to the couple. Unfortunately Muslims today, drowned in the oceans of materialism have become ignorant of religious, moral and social values. The majority of youngsters today consider Nikaah and Talaaq an insignificant issue. They don’t take them seriously, whereas the beloved Prophet (peace be upon him) has very clearly stated:

The most hateful Halaal to Almighty Allah, is Talaaq

Islam has given the bond of nikaah in the hand of the husband. Basically, it is only the husband who is authorised to issue Talaaq to his wife.

If the wife is not happy with the husband and she believes that it is impossible for them both to live carry on as husband and wife, then she has the right to return her dowry and obtain Talaaq. This again depends on the acceptance of the husband.

If the husband neither fulfils his responsibilities and duties nor he issues Talaaq in an Islamic State, then the chief justice of an Islamic court is authorised to dissolve the marriage.

As this is an issue of Haraam and Halaal and every one will be questioned on the Day of Qiyaamah, the board is very sensitive towards it. The board will force your husband to issue Talaaq using all possible means. The board believes that your husband will issue Talaaq with the help of Almighty Allah. Pray for our success.

How long does it take? It depends on the attitude of your husband. Rest assured, the board is well aware of your mental disturbance and sympathises with you. The board will try its very best to solve your problem as soon as possible.

The board wrote to your husband the day it received your application and documents, and inshallah with the help of Almighty Allah we will accomplish what you desire.

May Almighty Allah help us all.

wassalaam
